Michael Bartone

I am an associate professor of elementary education at Central Connecticut State University. My work examines policies, beliefs, and navigations of LGBTQ2S+ peoples and LGBTQ2S+ness in schools and society, as well as the intersections of race and sexuality. I am currently working on a project where I am gathering oral histories of LGBTQ2S+ educators in the United States. Moving forward, I am also most interested in global educational policies and experiences of LGBTQ2S+ educators and students, particularly in Norway and Italy.
